A fair payment schedule
Standard projects are divided into three clear milestones. Exact dates and deliverables are included in your written agreement.
Due after the written scope and agreement are approved. This reserves your place in the schedule and begins discovery, planning, and design.
Due after the main visual direction and core page design are approved, before the remaining development and content work is completed.
Due when the agreed website is complete and approved, before it is connected to the live domain and officially launched.
Work outside the approved scope and third-party expenses are quoted separately. A project begins only after the agreement is signed and the first payment is received.

It covers routine technical updates, uptime and form monitoring, backup and hosting coordination, fixes related to the original build, and up to 15 minutes of straightforward text or image changes each month. Larger updates and unused time do not roll over.
Active Care is an optional $99 per month plan for businesses that change menus, promotions, photos, staff details, or service information more often. It includes Essential Care plus up to 60 minutes of content updates per month, priority placement in the edit queue, and a simple monthly analytics summary. Unused update time does not roll over.
For the original Signature website, routine technical maintenance, monitoring, and bug fixes related to the original build are included while Websites by Sam is operating and the business remains active. Redesigns, new pages, new systems, substantial content work, third-party changes, and provider fees are separate. Signature clients can add Active Care when they want ongoing content updates.
Project and care-plan payments are collected through a secure hosted invoice or checkout page from a professional payment provider. Available methods are shown on the invoice. Websites by Sam does not ask clients to send card details by email or through the general contact form.
Your domain, specialized subscriptions, payment-processing charges, premium integrations, AI usage, paid photography, and unusually large content needs are separate unless they are specifically included in your written proposal.
